Paul Riley, of Peabody, became the second $4 million winner in the Massachusetts State Lottery’s “100X Cash” scratch-off game.
He chose to take the lump sum of $2.6 million (before taxes) rather than the annuity.
Riley said he plans to buy his wife a new car with the money and give away some cash to the Animal Rescue League.
Riley bought the ticket at Summit Variety at 145-A Summit St. in Peabody. The store will get a $40,000 bonus for selling the ticket.
